Ceipal’s Dancing Robots and Data Gathering Efforts Took Center Stage at Staffing World 2021

Ceipal’s Dancing Robots and Data Gathering Efforts Took Center Stage at Staffing World 2021

What do robots, dancing, and staffing have in common? At ASA’s Staffing World 2021, the answer would be booth #618, where Ceipal demonstrated the power and fun of virtual reality by giving away an OCULUS Quest all-in-one VR gaming headset. Facebook’s virtual reality platform enabled visitors to Ceipal’s booth to interact with objects in an immersive 3D world and, yes, to dance with a virtual automaton – putting a whole new twist on the phrase “doing the robot.” While this may sound like all fun and games, we did have a bigger purpose, of course. We met hundreds of colleagues, competitors, and customers, drawn to our cheerful booth and shared our collective knowledge about the present and future of staffing and recruitment technology.

In fact, beyond demonstrating the power of disruptive technology to transform ASA’s SW2021 showroom floor into a magically animated playground, we also asked participants to answer a handful of questions about how technology is disrupting the staffing sector and helping to meet DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) goals. After all, for a chance to dance with a lovable virtual robot, who wouldn’t answer a few questions? The fact that our 100+ respondents secured a chance to win an Oculus Quest headset of their very own courtesy of Ceipal was just the icing on the proverbial cake, we’re sure. We’re currently working on a full survey report that will be both interesting and informative for the staffing industry in the coming weeks. In the meantime, we’d like to offer our valued partners and customers a sneak peek at some of our early findings:

  • More than 40% of respondents plan to adopt an AI-enabled ATS in the next 6-12 months
  • Only about 15% of those asked said they currently use an AI-enabled ATS
  • Just about 28% of staffing professionals polled said their customers are already adopting DEI
  • reporting requirements
  • About 11% of those surveyed indicate they currently use some sort of DEI technology
  • An additional 26% of respondents said they plan to adopt DEI technology within the next 2 years.

These results seemed quite timely, given that Ceipal’s front desk at the Staffing World Booth invited visitors to “begin your DEI journey.” Of course, it’s no coincidence that we’re also launching our patent-pending AI-powered DEI technology today. You can read all about that news here. Meanwhile, we hope you find this early data sampling as interesting and eye-opening as we do. Stay tuned for additional insights from our ongoing analysis of the survey results.

Lastly, we’d like to thank everyone who participated in Ceipal’s ASA survey, and we’d especially like to express our gratitude to those who were brave enough to dawn an Oculus Quest headset in a very public setting to do what a very wise person once prescribed: “Dance like no one is watching!”
